Wise and brave Mahama, show up for interrogation –Amidu dares NDC Presidential Candidate
Special Prosecutor Martin Amidu has dared NDC Presidential Candidate John Dramani Mahama to show up in his office so he interrogates him for being a part of the Airbus saga.
Mr Amidu says to the former President that, he should man up, wise up and be brave enough to come with two lawyers of his own choice to be cautioned and interrogated.
Mr Mahama had questioned the involvement of Airbus scandal investigations in the findings on the Agyapa Royalties agreement by the Special Prosecutor
According to him, the inclusion of the development which is the current subject of investigations is an obvious attempt made by Martin Amidu to compensate for the potential damage against government after the Corruption Risk Assessment went public.
In the findings on the Agyapa deal President Akufo-Addo received, Mr Amidu reveals that the NDC flagbearer is the mysterious ‘Government Official 1’ whose brother is the Samuel Adam Mahama referred in the Airbus probe.
During his Accra Tour at the University of Ghana he spoke and said the development was unfortunate adding that, “nobody asked you about Airbus.”
“If you [Martin Amidu] were man enough, present Agyapa and do a report on Airbus separately. And I will come as a man and answer you on Airbus. If you think I’m indicted in Airbus, accuse me directly.
“But because he is a coward and he knew they were going to discuss Agyapa, he put a paragraph on Airbus to equalise the discussion. I mean what stupidity is this?” Mahama said.
The Office Of Special Prosecutor issued a press release which defends the inclusion of the Airbus issue in the Agyapa report. The SP insist in the release that NDC Candidate is Government Official 1.
He went on to accuse Mr. Mahama of guaranteeing the passport application of his brother Samuel Adam Mahama though he knew his brother hadn’t attended the University of Ghana as claimed.
