Sister Saratu final funeral rites (Adua) today, Monday
The final funeral rites of sister Saratu, took place today, Monday, November 9th, 2020.
The event took place at the Husband’s family residence in Jabogo in Wa, opposite ‘Tamarinuni’ at exactly 9:30 am.
The rite, which is referred to as ‘Adua’ in the Muslim context saw some Imams and other prominent Islamic scholars offering intercessory supplication on behalf of the late sister Saratu and other Muslims who have visited the land of the silent ones.
The late sister Saratu passed on Monday, November 2nd this year at the Tamale Teaching Hospital after a short ailment.
On the very day of her demise, I got a call from my mom. I was to message her something so I surmised it was about that. Instead, what she said put me into a state of melancholy.
“Your sister died today, she’s gone.”
I became flummoxed and replayed those words over and over in my head, every day since they were spoken.
No one tells you what it’s like to lose a loving, gracious, and caring sister. No one tells you it feels like choking like there’s a weight on your chest that never quiet subsides. I feel it every day. Sometimes it’s hard to breathe, it’s hard to think, it’s hard to understand.
But in all, we leave everything in the hands of Allah, he is omniscient and omnipotent.
May Allah forgives her shortcomings and grants her the highest rank in Jannatul Firdaus and may Allah forgive all gone souls.🙏🙏
