MP elect Peter Amewu Showers Blessing on Shatta Wale
Yesterday, 28th December, 2020, the Member of Parliament elect for Hohoe constituency, NPP’s Hon John Peter Amewu held a party in Hohoe to celebrate his win of the parliamentary seat during the 2020 general elections.
One of the artiste who performed at the party was Shatta Wale. During his performance, Hon John Peter Amewu was seen climbing the stage to join the popular dance hall artiste on stage. The NPP darling boy was also seen stretching his hands over the self-acclaimed dancehall king who knelt before the Member of Parliament elect.
The gestures had been interpreted by many as a form blessing form the Honorable Member of Parliament elect to the musician. His actions were also interpreted as a show of his massive love for the artiste Shata Wale.
The incidence has raised some eyebrows since yesterday as some are trying to connect it to Shata Wale’s seemingly endorsement of President Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo Addo the then presidential candidate of the New Patriotic party before the 2020 presidential election. Some Ghanaians believe that Shatta Wale is an underground politician who is surfacing gradually.
Shatta, as he is affectionately called is one the musicians with the larges fan base in Ghana and Africa at large and now we know that at least one Member of Parliament is on the list of Shatta Wale fans or the Shatta Movement as they are popularly known.
After receiving his blessing however, the “ayoo” hit mater did not disappoint the honorable and the numerous other fans in the audience. His performance was one that could rightly be referred to as energetic and thrilling. Shatta Wale as usual was able to move and thrill his fans during his performance.
While Shatta Wale was the biggest name on the stage yesterday, there were other interesting underground artiste who performed.
