ILAPI Trains Journalists About The Principles On Economic Freedom
The Institute for Liberty and Policy Innovation (ILAPI) has over the weekend organized a two days intensive training for some Journalists across Ghana on the principles of economic freedom.
Speaking in an interview with Mr Peter Bismark Cofie, the Chief Executive Officer of the institution at the end of the training,he stated clearly that the training is aimed at training and impact some knowledge in Journalists on economics that they where not able to achieve back in school.
He said, there’s a huge gap between what Journalists learn in school and what they have understand in the real world, which the training will help them in their daily activities. “This will also give them the opportunity to ask our leaders tough questions in terms economics policies”, he added.
He further stated that,in ten years to come the Policy and Innovation Institute should be able to train over thousand journalists on the economic freedom in order for them to educate the general public.
“Since they speak to a larger population because politically we are free but economically we are not, therefore, not all policies by our leaders must be accepted just like that”, he said.
He finally added that, if the African continent can trade without pirates, the tag poverty on Africans can be deleted.
Some of the journalists who took part in the training also shared their experience and knowledge acquired at the end of this intensive organized by Institute for Liberty and Policy Innovation. Long live ILAPI. Long live AJEOT.
