GPL: Gov’t grants permission for stadiums to admit 25% capacity

The Government of Ghana has given permission for stadiums to take 25% capacity of spectators for sporting activities.

In September 2020, the government earlier allowed stadiums to take 25% capacity of spectators when it announced the return of sporting activities and later suspended the decision due to the covid-19 pandemic that hit Ghana and the world.
The decision was later reversed in two months after the Ministry of Youth and Sports directed all games to be played behind closed doors due to the high number of COVID-19 cases in Ghana.
In a statement signed by the Minister of Youth and Sports, Isaac Asiamah, permission has been given for sporting activities to take place with a 25% capacity of spectators.
