Despite successes chalked in our fight against the coronavirus pandemic, it still lingers around.
Accordingly, we made a return to our weekly Minister’s COVID-19 Briefings as we received a team from the Ghana Health Service (GHS) led by Dr. Patrick Kuma-Aboagye to give us updates on our COVID numbers.
In his presentation, Dr. Kuma-Aboagye made it known that the recent spike has been due to a disregard of the covid protocols as well as limited contact tracing due to inadequate data from private testing facilities. The GHS announced a couple of measures to contain the situation.
We continue to admonish the general public to step up compliance and at least wear a mask where distancing is impractical.
