CK Akunnor to Name Five Players Who Tested Positive For Covid-19 In Next Week Call-Up

Black Stars Head Coach, Charles Kwablor Akunnor is set to name his squad for upcoming AFCON qualifies next week.

According to reports, it is likely the five players who contracted the novel virus during the last international duty in Turkey are said to have their names on the list for the forthcoming qualifiers.

Crystal Palace forward, Jordan Ayew was assigned to home isolation after testing positive up arrival from the international break as well as Besiktas midfielder, Bernard Mensah.

Also, Celta Vigo have missed the service of defender Joseph Aidoo for the past two weeks after contracting covid-19 during Ghana’s friendlies against Mali and Qatar.

Players who are in the same situation after last month’s break includes,left-back Gideon Mensah of Vitoria Guimaraes, Tranzaspor’s Caleb Ekuban.

Kayserispor defender, Joseph Attamah is reported to have recovered after test positive and missed out in the last call-ups.

The aforementioned players will be key in the upcoming qualifies in November as Ghana resume their 2021 AFCON qualifies with a doubleheader against Sudan.
