Asante Kotoko will play Mauritius giants, FC Nouadhibou in the preliminary stage of the 2020/2021 CAF champions league.
The Porcupines will look forward to going farther than they did in the 2019/2020 season, reaching the last round of the play-offs but failed to make the group stages.
In a draw held in Cairo today via zoom, Kotoko will visit the Mauritius champions on November 27 before the return leg 0n December 4, in Accra.
Due to Kotoko representing Ghana last season, and the 2019/2020 Ghana Premier League been truncated because of the Covid-19 Pandemic; the 24-time GPL winners got the nod to represent this season.
In the same vein, Ashanti Gold will also represent Ghana in African’s second-tier inter-club competition and has been drawn against Burkina Faso side Salitas FC.
The Reds as well as the Miners would appear in three competitions- GPL, MTN FA Cup, and the CAF Champions League this season.
